Visa Information - Attention all Travellers to PNG!

Tourist/Visitor Entry Permits: Application for permits may be made at PNG Overseas Missions or where there is no PNG presence, the nearest Australian Overseas Mission. Entry Permits can also be obtained on arrival at Port Moresby's Jackson's International Airport. Tourist/Visitor Entry Permits are valid for 60 days and can be extended for a further 30 days. Only one extension is allowed.
The applicant must complete a Request for Entry Permit Form and have evidence of return tickets. The Tourist/Visitor Visa fee is K75.00 and a 30 day extension is K200.00.

Business Entry Permits: A Business Entry Permit permits a person to enter PNG to conduct business as distinct from undertaking employment. Application for permits may be made at PNG Overseas Missions or where there is no PNG presence, the nearest Australian Overseas Mission. Entry Permits can also be obtained on arrival into Port Moresby's Jackson's International Airport. Business Entry Permits are valid for 12 months from date of issue and can be extended once only for a further 30 days.
Business Entry Permits are multiple entry.

The applicant must complete a Request for Entry Permit Form, provide a covering letter from the sponsor detailing why the applicant is coming to PNG and expected number and length of visits and evidence of return tickets. The Business Entry Permit fee is K500.00, and a 30 day extension is K750.00.

Note: Some countries are regarded as "high risk" (e.g. India) and as such entry permit clearance is required before citizens of these countries are allowed to enter PNG.
